Surrounded by her family, Vanda Cresti, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 7, 2022 at the age of 80. Vanda was born in La Spezia, Italy to the late Giuseppe and Assunta (Viviani) Carnesecchi and emigrated to the United States in 1950. They settled in New Brunswick where she met her beloved husband, Aldo, whom she married in 1962. Vanda worked at Boy Scouts of America and then at Warnsdorfer School in East Brunswick. Upon retirement, she enjoyed her new career as “Nonna”, caring for her grandchildren as babysitter, driver and playmate. She always cooked copious amounts of food for her family including her famously delicious tiramisu and tortellini soup. She loved to cheer on her children and grandchildren at their sporting events and celebrate their milestones and accomplishments.
Surviving Vanda are her husband, Aldo and her two children, Deborah Camlet and husband Russell and Paul Cresti and wife Andrea. She is also survived by her five grandchildren whom she adored, Julianna, Kevin, Joseph, Emily and Mia, as well as cherished nieces, nephews, extended family and “granddogs.”
