Sylvia Osheroff, 100, passed away at her home on Dec. 5, 2012. Born and raised in New York, NY.
She attended and was a graduate of the local high school and college in New York City.
Miss Osheroff was a teacher for many years, then held a supervisory position with the New York City Board of Education, retiring in 1974 at the age of 62.
She was a member of Hadassah and was affliated with many synagogues in New York and was a member of Congregation Poile Zedek in New Brunswick, NJ. Miss Osheroff was a very philantropic person.
Miss Osheroff was predeceased by her parents Abraham and Dora (Metzger) Osheroff, her world renowned nephew Raphael Osheroff, MD, (2012) and is survived by a dear friend Paula Singer.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 11:00am at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ
Arrangements are under the direction of the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ.
