Sorie Knox, beloved father and grandfather, passed away at age 85 on August 9th, in Somerset, NJ. Sorie grew up in Long Beach, Long Island, raised by his father and mother, Herman and Sophie Knox. Sorie was introduced to Marsha Levine through a blind date. After 6 short months of dating, they were engaged . Once married, Sorie came ashore to work in maritime consulting and move to New Jersey. Sorie and Marsha raised their children, Meridith and Stephanie, in East Brunswick, NJ, where they lived for about 25 years. Sorie transitioned to a career in financial planning and worked for New York Life. Sorie contributed to his community by being a literacy volunteer, and he was also an avid tennis player.
