Robert W. Atkins, 69, of North Brunswick, Nj passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson Medicasl Center, New Brunswick, NJ. He was born in Cornwall, NY and had lived in Michigan and New Jersey.
Bob was anvid bowler and was inducted into the Hall of Fame of Bowling of Middlesex County. He loved to play golf and was a true sports fanatic.
He enjoyed vacationing with his daughter, Michelle.
Bob was the owner and operator of the Professional Old Bridge Dry Cleaners along with his second wife, Joyce. He truly loved the drying cleaning business and his customers were his #1 priority. In his early years, he had worked as a salesman for Butcher's Wax Company for a long time.
Bob was a strong willed and determined person, always motivating himself to exercise after having had a stroke.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Waters) Payton Atkins, his daughter and son-in-law Michelle McElroy and Joseph Gomber, his grandson Brian McElroy, Jr., his brother William Atkins, his former wife Connie Alise and former son-in-law Brian McElroy, Sr.
Graveside services will take place on Saturday, October 4th at Calvary Cemetery, 55 Grand Street, New Windsor, NY at 11am.
