Renee Reiss, 88, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, in East Brunswick, NJ. She was surrounded by her loving family and caretakers. Born in Bronx, NY, Renee excelled in school, graduating Evander Childs High School in 1949. Renee was the daughter of the late Philip and Lillian Levy. After marrying, Renee moved to Elmont, NY, and later settled in Pompton Plains, NJ, where she lived for 55 years.
Renee had a love of life. She enjoyed the outdoors and traveled the globe with her husband. She enjoyed tennis, reading, swimming, knitting, and spending time with her family. She was active in her synagogue.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Edward Reiss, and her younger brother, Charles Levy. Renee is survived by her children, Pamela Reiss (Andrew Rosenberg) of Jenkintown, PA, Allan Reiss (Barbara Nold) of Palm Coast, FL, and Richard Reiss (Paula Kaplan-Reiss) of East Brunswick, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Elyse Rosenberg (Evan O’Connell) of Brooklyn, NY, Jessica Rosenberg (Derek Jones) of Philadelphia, PA, Adam Reiss of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Jason Reiss of Orlando, FL, and Gabriel, Ethan, and Elijah Reiss of East Brunswick, NJ. Additionally, she is survived by her great-grandchildren, Bo and Jude Jones, of Philadelphia, PA, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be forever missed.
Funeral Service will be held at Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple, 222 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ, Friday, January 10, 2020 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus, NJ.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, New Brunswick, NJ.
