Paulino de Jesus Jaquez Torres, 83, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born and raised in Corocito, Dominican Republic by his single mom. Paulino was the first person to leave his small village to come to America in the early 1970's. Upon his arrival, Paulino chose to live in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
He worked at many factory jobs in the area for many years. Paulino also worked as a maintenance man for Rutgers University for 5 years before he purchased his grocery store, Family Grocery in New Brunswick.
Paulino loved to watch the rooster fights and enjoyed a good game of pool. In his lifetime, he owned many cows and he loved all animals..
Predeceased by his parents, Antonio Jaquez and Fania Torres. Paulino's family was very important to him, leaving behind to casrrying on his legacy is his wife Ana Peralta, his daughters, Yoselin Jaquez, Juberqiz Jaquez and Diana Solis, his 13 grandchildren, his 2 sisters and 10 half siblings.
Visiting will take place at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 5 - 8 pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 10 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Church, 75 Morris Street, New Brunswick, with interment following at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick, NJ.
