Pattie Zamore (née Davis), a shining light in the lives of those who knew and loved her, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2024, at the age of 70. Pattie was born on September 17, 1953, in New York City, NY to Charles Davis and Joye Cox. Pattie grew up in Mandeville, Jamaica until she was 12, when she moved to Harlem with her mother.
Pattie's life was marked by her love for technology, education, and community. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Brooklyn College and went on to have a fulfilling career as a Data Consultant, working for companies including PSE&G, AIG, and AirLiquide. Her passion for teaching led her to focus on Adult Education, where she shared her expertise in the Microsoft Software Suite and data analysis.
When not working, Pattie enjoyed exploring the world of gadgets, crocheting, walking, and taking zumba classes. She had a special affinity for Grenada, her stepfather's homeland, which she cherished deeply. A devout Methodist, Pattie was baptized and raised in the faith.
Pattie is predeceased by her beloved daughter, Simone Joye Zamore Curbelo, who passed away on January 4, 2024.
Three words that sum up Pattie Zamore's life are: Ever-lasting Joye. May her love, light, and legacy continue to inspire us all.
Pattie is survived by her loving: children, Kherry Zamore (Ashley) of Houston, TX and Shaz Zamore of Boulder, CO; two grandchildren, and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Absolute.
Pattie's legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those whose lives she touched. Her family will remember her as a brilliant and giving soul, who lived life exactly as she chose.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pattie's honor. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and doctors of Mount Sinai Hospital, Dr. Nissenblatt, Dr. Elmore, Dr. Di Fabrizio, Dr. Marron, and the various medical teams for their compassionate care.
