Nancy L. Daino, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019, at NJ Veterans Memorial Home in Menlo Park. She was 87. Born in Plainfield, she lived in Piscataway and New Brunswick before moving to North Brunswick in 1972.

Nancy was a registered nurse at Middlesex General Hospital (now Robert Wood Johnson) in New Brunswick. She was a graduate of Middlesex General Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. Nancy retired from Robert Wood Johnson and after her husband passed away she returned to work part time in a doctor’s office, where she worked until she was 80.

She had a very strong stoic personality. She loved traveling, gardening and knitting. She enjoyed going to Atlantic City and playing poker with her lady friends. She was well loved and will be greatly missed.

She’s predeceased by her husband Eugene (d. 1999); and her sisters Ruth Giacobbe and Harriet Mongosa.

Surviving is her son Daniel Daino and his wife Frances of Monroe; her daughters Dawn Daino of New Brunswick and Anita Daino of Jamesburg; her grandchildren Mary Seibel and Katie Dorre; and her great grandchildren Adriana, Hailey, Landon and Jax.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 9th, at 3:30 pm at Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
