MonicaJean Samples was born November 11, 1963, in Madison, Wisconsin to James II and Louise Samples. She departed this life on April 2, 2024 in New Brunswick, NJ.
MonicaJean’s parents married on April 14, 1946. Her father served in the United States Air Force for over thirty years. Of that union two children were born, MonicaJean Samples and James I. Samples III.
In 1976, MonicaJean relocated to Somerset, NJ with her mother. She graduated from Franklin High School, Middlesex County College, Worldwide Computer Institute and The Cittone/Lincoln Tech. In 1981, her daughter Mariellouise Samples was born. MonicaJean later moved to New Brunswick, NJ, where she worked at Rite Aid Pharmacy for more than 17 years. She moved to Woodbridge, NJ where she was employed by Wal-Mart and other local companies. Then she started working for the Woodbridge Community Center. During the pandemic she started working for Town Hall. Monicajean was there for 11 years, where she served and worked very hard for her community. She was a go-getter, hustler, loving, compassionate, endearing, kind, protective, strong, extraordinary, intuitive, caring, mindful and generous with everyone. She brought light and happiness into this world. MonicaJean was a remarkable one of a kind woman whose laughter and love brightened even the darkest days. She was a very dedicated mother, daughter, sister, wife, friend, co-worker, and boss, who worked very hard to ensure that her family had a good life. She also was a real homemaker with many skills including sewing, crocheting, embroidering, and doing hair. MonicaJean was a phenomenal, incredible and amazing woman who will never be forgotten.

MonicaJean is survived by her loving: daughter, Mariellouise Samples; husband, Jason Morrison; godmother/mother, Marcia Hall and a host of family, friends, godchildren, god grandkids and coworkers.
