Mario Reyes Correa, 47, passed away at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ on Thursday, January 14, 2021. He was born and raised in San Miguel, Mexico. Mario came to Edison, NJ at the age of 19, where he met his beloved wife, Celia and started a family.
Mario started a landscape business in 2004, called 3s Reyes Landscaping, LLC. As his sons grew up, they entered into the business with him. In 2017, he has created an app where all contractors have a platform to share their experiences after being at a job site. Last year, Mario had a live Podcast on how to start a business and related subjects to help others from the Latino/Hispanic Community.
Mario loved to travel with his wife, Celia. They made several trips to Mexico, Niagara Falls, South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. He enjoyed learning, helping others, and donating to local charities. Especially he loved to help feed the people in hospitals and children in Mexico.
Recently, Mario was venturing out into film making. Most of all, he enjoyed the time he spent with his family. He was a man who always had to be busy...could not sit still.
On one of his trips to Mexico, Mario was very excited to have meet the current president of the country, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, ("AMLO").
Predeceased by his parents, Mario Reyes and Lidia Correa, he is survived by his beloved wife, Celia Hernandez, his loving children, Hucien A. Reyes, Lydia J. Reyes Hernandez, Oscar Reyes Hernandez and Mario D. Reyes Hernandez, his cherished two grandchildren Yeydin Jaciel and Dalary Reyes Calvo and one on the way, his dear brother Edgar Reyes Correa and five other siblings in Mexico.
Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Church, 75 Morris Street, New Brunswick, NJ at 12 pm, followed by visitation at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Cremation will be private on Thursday, January 21, 2021.
