Maria Rojas, 80, daughter of the late Juanita Trujillo and Ambrosia Medina born in Isabela, Puerto Rico on
February 16, 1942 and passed away on October 17, 2022 at her home in North Brunswick, NJ. Maria came to New Jersey at the age of 16.
She attended schools in Puerto Rico.
Maria enjoyed singing and dancing, cooking and baking, watching her Spanish novellas and being the matriarch of her family, especially to her grand and great grandchildren. She was loving, talented, smart, but more importantly, she was an Angel to this world.
She was the loving mother of Thomas Vargas, the late David Medina Vargas, Jose Rojas, Nancy Rojas, Michelle Rojas and David Rojas, the cherished grandmother of Phillip Vargas, Alexandra Vargas, the late Jose Rojas, Jr.,(JJ), Antonio Rojas, Idalis Williams, Anton Noel Pena and Melania Faith De La Cruz and great grandmother to Maliya, Sophia and Ean Martinez, Aajanay, Ariana and Kingston Kizee, dear sister to 21 brothers and sisters, especially her "partner in crime" Isaura Acevedo.
The family invites you to visitation at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ on Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 6 - 9 pm. Funeral mass will take place at the St. Mary of Mount Virgin RC Church-Parish of the Visitation, the corner of Remsen Avenue and Sandford Street, New Brunswick, NJ on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 10 am. Entombment in St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick, NJ.
