Mrs. Margarita Roman Diaz, 82, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 7, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, she migrated to the New Brunswick, NJ area 52 years ago.
In her home of Puerto Rico, Margarita studied and became a registered nurse. She had worked for many years before settled down to raise her family. After raising her children, Margarita enjoyed traveling and going to the casinos.
She belonged to the Forever Young Senior Citizen Group from Franklin and Perth Amboy.
Margarita was a selfless person, always helping everyone, especially her family.
Predeceased by her parents Felix Diaz and Rosa Martinez, her husband of 48 years, Miguel Angel Roman and her two sons Miguel, Jr. and Arturo. Margarita leaves behind her devoted children Rosa Roman, Enid Cruz and William Roman, her loving eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, her dear brothers and sister,Pablo, Francisco, Julian and Cruzita Diaz and her caring nieces Ida and Magdelena Melendez and Rosa Scott.
Visitation will take place at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ on Thursday, October 12th from 6 - 9 pm. Funeral Blessing at the funeral Home on Friday, October 13th promptly at 10 am. Interment to follow at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ.
