Manuel Santiago, 61, of Sayreville, NJ, was called to his eternal rest on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at the St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Isabela, Puerto Rico, Manuel came with his family to New Brunswick at the young age of 9. He grew up in New Brunswick. After he married his wife, Ann Marie, they started their life together in Monroe, NJ before moving three years ago to Sayreville..
Manuel had worked as a machine operator with the Halsted Corporation in Cranbury, NJ for many years. His work did not hold him back from making time to do what he especially loved to do, which was go fishing.
Manuel loved music, dancing, boxing football and baseball. He loved the real 'football" not "futbol". You could catch him watching his beloved NY Giants play on a weeknight or on a Sunday, during the fall season. In the spring and summer seasons it was his baseball team, the NY Yankees, on the TV.
Predeceased by his father, Manuel Santiago and a half brother Manuel Lopez. Surviving the entertaining family man are his adoring mother, Carmen Santiago, his beloved wife, Ann Marie (Abbruzzese) Santiago, his loving children, Carmen Marie Santiago, Anna Marie Fisher, Rominita Gumbs,k Laura Santiago, Manuel Santiago, Jr., Travis Santiago and Guido Santiago, his cherished thirteen grandchildren, his dear sisters Irma Castillo, Inez Santiago and Nicolasa "Nicki" Santiago and his half brother Javier "Tito" Lopez.
Family and friends may visit on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 4 - 9 pm at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ. Funeral Service will be held during the visitation at 7:30 pm. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum, East Brunswick, NJ on Tuesday, June 22,2021 at 10:45 am.
