Luz Maria Lopez, 60, passed away early morning on Monday, October 7, 2019 at St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ. Born and raised in Catano, Puerto Rico, Luz came to New Brunswick in 1979 and has been living in Somerset for the past ten years.
She worked many years as a machine operator for Delco Battery, before becoming a school bust driver for First Student and Heba School Bus Companies, all located in New Brunswick.
Luz was a beautiful soul, very family orientated and would take care of others before herself. She was a very special lady and loved by all who knew her.
Predeceased by her brothers Ricardo and Ismael Lopez, her father, Santiago Lopez in 1998 and her mother Carmen (Cordoba) Lopez, just a short year ago on October 5, 2018, she is survived by her sisters Xiomara Lopez, Milta Ayala and Lidia Lopez, her brothers Roberto and Daniel Lopez and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may come to visit on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ. Funeral service on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 10:15 am. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick, NJ.
