Mrs. Julia Martinez, 95. passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Saturday, September 5, 2020. Born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, she came to live with her daughter, Maria in East Brunswick, NJ in 1989.
She was a wonderful homemaker to her family. Julia worked for a brief period of time for Hygrade Handbag on Jersey Avenue in New Brunswick.
Julia loved to sew and enjoyed gardening. She was an excellent mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was predeceased by her parents Pedro and Justina Otero, her beloved husband, Angelo Martinez in 1981. Julia leaves behind her loving children, Migdalia, Maria, (with whom she lived), Gloria, Jesus M., and Aris B. Martinez, her cherished eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, her dear sister and brother, Gloria M. Otero and Miguel A. Otero.
Private cremation services will take place on Wednesday, September 9, 2020. Julia will be placed in her niche at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick on Friday, September 11, 2020.
