Joyce Lois (Baker) Tierney, 78, passed away suddenly at her home on November 18, 2018. She was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ. Before moving to Carteret, Joyce lived with her family in Fords, NJ.
She was a very private person who loved to write poetry. Joyce also enjoyed roller skating in her earlier years.
Predeceased by her parents Alex and Josephine Baker, Joyce is survived by her beloved husband Thomas Patrick Tierney, her loving children Matthew Tierney, Brian Tierney, Sean Tierney, Billy Baker, Frank McKenna, Elizabeth Fitzsimmons and JoAnn Papay, her cherished grandchildren Michael Tierney, Desire Tierney, Kierstin Tierney, Crystal Tierney and Kendra Baker and her great grandchildren AltaRose and Wyatt.
Family and friends may visit at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 11 am - 1 pm.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
