Joseph Molnar, Sr., 90, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ. He was born in Magyarlak, Hungary and moved to New Brunswick in 1956. Joseph lived for 10 years in North Brunswick and moved to Somerset where he lived the balance of his life.
Joseph was a butcher for 35 years with Davidsons-Foodtown in New Brunswick.
He enjoyed gardening, cooking holiday meals for the family,playing cards at the Hungarian American Athletic Club (HAAC) and watching European soccer.
Joseph was predeceased by his parent Imre and Anna (Cseve) Molnar and his first wife Margaret. He is survived by his children, Joseph, Jr., Ginger Henning, Margaret Langone and Anna Apollonio, his grand children Christopher Apollonio, Michael, Matthew and Jessica Henning, his three great grandchildren and his second wife Zsuzsanna Zakany Molnar.
Visitation will take place at the Gowen Funeral Home, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 4-8pm. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 9:00am at St. Ladislaus RC Church, 215 Somerset Street, New Brunswick, NJ. Interment to follow at the St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick, NJ.
