Jose A. Ramos, 70, passed away Friday afternoon August 23, 2019 at the St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ. Born and raised in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, he came to the United States in 1965 and stayed until 1984 in the New Brunswick area. He returned to Puerto Rico in 1984 until 2011, returning in November of 2011 to North Brunswick and Perth Amboy.
Jose was a chef and restaurateur by trade in Puerto Rico. He owned and operated Sisco's Pizza in Puerto Rico for many years.
Jose enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. The family loved to hear him sing, he would make up his own songs.
He would cook for the family, Jose even made his daughter his own version of the "Big Mac" after a visit to the dentist.
Jose was predeceased by his parents Jose Ramos and Alejandrina Perez and two infant granddaughters, he will be missed by his beloved wife of 46 years Juana Guzman Ramos, his loving children Juana Acevedo, Maribel Rodriguez, Marisa Ramos, Mildred Ramos and Jose A. Ramos, Jr., his sixteen cherished grandchildren and a great grandchild on the way and his dear sister Anadelia "Lucy" Ramos.
Family and friends may visit at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 6-9 pm. Funeral mass on Friday, August 20, 2019 at 10 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, 75 Morris Street, New Brunswick, NJ. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick, NJ.
