Jerome Lowen, 89, of Aventura, Florida died Saturday, May 19, 2018 at his residence. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, he spent most of his life in Highland Park before moving to Florida 20 years ago. An Avid boater, "Jerry" loved being on the water. He was a lifelong member of Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple in New Brunswick and had served on the Temple Board of Trustees.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Aventura Condominium Association. A graduate of Highland Park High School and the General Motors Institute in Flint, Michigan, Mr. Lowen was the operator of the Landis Ford in North Brunswick for many years. He also was the owner and operator Aamaco Transmission of Bridgewater, NJ.
Son of the late Jacob and Esther (Adler) Lowen, Jerry was also predeceased by his sister, Greta Cherneff. Surviving are his beloved wife of 68 years Blossom (Klein) Lowen, his sons and daughters-n-law, Mark and Cindy Lowen, Gary and Barbara Lowen, his daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Ronald Perl, his grandchildren Joshua, Rachel, Sarah, Sam, Amanda, Jessica, Marissa and Michael and his three great grandchildren.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 am today, (Tuesday), at the Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple, 222 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ. The Interment will follow in the Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ. Arrangements are by the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ.
