Hector P. Cruz, 41, entered into eternal life on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ. Lifelong New Brunswick resident and a 2000 graduate of New Brunswick High School receiving a Certificate in Commercial Arts from East Brunswick Vo-Tech.
Hector is known for his artistry of painting murals around the area towns. Many have seen his work at Costa Chica Restaurant in New Brunswick where he painted many window scenes. When his church, All Nations Christian Church, would hold events, Hector was lending his painting skills as a face painter to all the children.
Hector worked as a security guard for the Patio Bar and Grill in New Brunswick. His moment of fame came when he served on the security team for the Princess of Salsa, La India, when she performed at the State Theater in New Brunswick. Hector was very proud and honored that he was chosen as part of the team.
Predeceased by his mother Pura Cruz Medina, his wife Siobhan and his sister Catherine Chiles, he is survived by his loving sisters Cindy M. Lugo and Bernadette "Bonnie" Lugo, his cherished nieces and nephews, Aaron and Kayla Martinez, Jasmin M. Morrison, Matthew Chiles, III, Christina M. Lugo-Cruz, and his grand nieces and nephews, Joel and Josiah Morrison, Ayonna and Aaron,Jr Martinez, Aleah Narvaez, Jordan, Jayla and Taj Noel Chiles.
Visitation will take place at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 10 am - 12 pm. Funeral Service will begin at 12 pm. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick, NJ
