Harry Schrier, 89, passed away at his home on Friday, December 14, 2012. He was born in Romania, at the age of three months he and his parents came to the United States, settling in New York City. Harry lived in Brooklyn and Highland Park before moving to Monroe, NJ twenty years ago.
Harry served in the US Army during World War II. He was a graduate of New York University-College of Commerce with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. He worked for many years as a Price-Cost Analyst for Morrison Steel in New Brunswick. Harry also worked for the Federal Government in New York City and retired in 1993.
Harry has been a member of the Highland Park Conservative Temple for 50 years. He was devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren.
Predeceased by his parents Isadore and Bea (Stitus) Schrier and his daughter Edythe Schrier in 1983,he is survived by his beloved wife, Anita (Rechtschaffer), his loving children Marlene and her husband Bert Stein, of Marlboro, NJ, Lawrence Schrier and his wife Robin, of East Brunswick, NJ, and Sally and her husband Steven Rosen, of Hillsborough, NJ and his cherished grandchildren Jessica and her husband Brian Goldstein, Andrew Stein and his wife Caitlin, Sydney Rosen, Max Rosen, Elyse Schrier and Zachary Schrier.
The funeral service will take place at the Highland Park Conservative Temple, So.Third and Benner Streets, Highland Park, NJ on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin, (Woodbridge), NJ.
