With deep sadness, our family announces the passing of our beloved mother, Gladys Naar, who passed away peacefully at home in Boca Raton, FL. on January 26, 2025, at 98 years old. She is survived by her 4 children, Stu (Boca Raton, FL), Ron (Doylestown, PA), Ben (Palm Beach Gardens, FL), and Shelly (Bordentown, NJ), 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death, by her husband of 59 years, Leon who passed away in 2008.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Gladys raised her family in Highland Park, NJ, living there for 41 yrs. before retiring to Florida. Before marrying Leon, she worked as a model in New York City. After dedicating many years to raising her family as a stay-at-home mother, she joined the family business, Narbest Food Products in New Brunswick, NJ for many years until her retirement. Gladys was a phenomenal cook and the epitome of grace and dignity throughout her life. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Cancer Society or the New Jersey Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Light the Night (Shell’s Angels). The funeral is Wednesday, Jan 29, 2025 at 1 PM at Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick, NJ, followed by burial at Elmwood Cemetery in New Brunswick. Shiva will be observed Wednesday evening for Services, Thursday, and Thursday evening for Services, and Friday until Shabbat. Shiva is at Shelly’s home at 45 Cayuga Rd., Bordentown, NJ.
