Georgino Algarin, 88, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ. He was born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico and lived between Puerto Rico and the New Brunswick area most of his life before moving to Genesis at Park Place.
Georgino was a machine operator for Feathers Corp in Edison, NJ and he retired in 1993.
He enjoyed cultivating his tropical garden in Puerto Rico. His favorite past time was a day at the horse racetrack placing bets and playing the slots in Atlantic City. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Jesus and Georgina (Deleon) Algarin, he is survived by his loving children Janet Algarin, George Algarin, Osvaldo Algarin and Erwin Algarin, his cherished grandchildren Kayla Borges, Edgardo Borges, Christopher Algarin and George David Algarin.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, August 21, 2016 fro 4-6 pm at the Crabiel Parkw4est Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ. Funeral Mass on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Church, 75 Morris Street, New Brunswick, NJ, followed by a private cremation at the Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ.
