Francisco Maldonado was born September 8, 1938, in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, to Justina and Pablo Maldonado. He departed this life on December 4, 2021.
Francisco was a loving and devoted father, husband, brother and uncle who enjoyed helping others. He also enjoyed playing dominoes, laughing, making jokes, and listening to music. When you saw Frank you always knew for certain that you were going to laugh. He was friendly and would give you the shirt off his back. Frank will always be remembered as the cool guy, the giver and the joker. He was always calm and had the heart of gold and would help a stranger at any given day.
He was married for 32 years to Josephine Maldonado-Ortega; they shared 11 children together. Although they separated when the baby girl turned 18, they raised a strong knit family and continued to have a friendly relationship for the sake of their children. The family was very well known in the New Brunswick area as they were raised in the Memorial Homes Projects. They were always together and enjoyed family gatherings.
Francisco worked for a steel metal company in Newark, NJ until he retired.
He is predeceased by his parents, Justina and Pablo Maldonado and two brothers, Leocardio and Manuel.
Francisco is survived by his: three sons, Orlando Joski and Jose; eight daughters, Sandra, Aida, Carmen, Emma, Iris, Lucy, Mary, and Ada; a host of grandkids and great-grandkids; two sisters who reside in Puerto Rico, Gladys and Miriam; brother, Angel of North Brunswick, NJ who will continue to carry the Maldonado legacy. As well as a host of nieces and nephews who love him dearly.
He will be truly missed by many and for sure left a mark on many hearts. We will forever miss him.
