Mrs. Florence Hoffman

Florence Hoffman died on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. She was 92 years old.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was raised in New Brunswick, where she graduated from high school and remained as an adult, later moving to Highland Park. Prior to her retirement, Florence was the head bookkeeper of Rule Construction Company.
Florence was a member of the Highland Park Conservative Temple – Congregation Anshe Emeth, and a Life Member of the Deborah Hospital Foundation, serving as the president of the New Brunswick/Highland Park chapter for many years. She was also a Life Member of Hadassah, a member of the Workmen's Circle/Arbeiter Ring, and an active participant at the Highland Park Senior Center. She was deeply involved in the community, serving as an election polling place volunteer, and was a recipient of a Certificate of Recognition for her volunteer service to Highland Park.
Florence was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Esther Laibowitz, her husband, George Hoffman, and her sister, Miriam Teitelzweig. Surviving her are her sons, Neil Hoffman of Highland Park and Matthew Hoffman of Kissimmee, Florida, her son-in-law Paul Hakken of Kissimmee, Florida, granddaughter Karen Hakken of Norcross, Georgia, and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews.
Services will be held at the Highland Park Conservative Temple on Friday, April 14th at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Washington Park Cemetery, Route 130, Deans. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral
