Ernesto M. Algaba, 65, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 10, 2019. He was born in Mangua, Nicaragua and raised in Masaya. Ernesto came to the United States in 1983. He lived in New Brunswick, North Brunswick, and South River for 20 years before moving four years ago to East Brunswick, NJ.
Ernesto retired in 2018 from Home Depot, where he worked as an overnight stock person for the past 12 years. Previously he worked for Maxsam Tiles, East Brunswick. Upon his arrival to the United States, Ernesto worked as a dishwasher for The Portuguese Fisherman Restaurant.
A hardworking family man, his last words were "take it easy in life". He was predeceased by his parents Ernesto and Yolanda, and his wife Flor in 2012. Ernesto is survived by his loving children Carla, Ovalesca, Silvia and Alexander, his cherished grandchildren Qwen, Oney, Emma, Hannah and Laci, his dear brothers and sisters, Jose,(his twin), Lorena, Mariana, Reyna and Ivan.
Visiting will take place at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ on Saturday, January 12th from 8:30 am - 11:00 am with a service following. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery, New Brunswick, NJ.
