David Vega Vasquez, Jr., 23, passed away at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ on Monday, August 20, 2018 from injuries sustained from a moped accident. He was born and raised in New Brunswick and has been living in Somerset fort the past three years.
David loved all sports. While at New Brunswick High School, he ran track. David loved to run. He also enjoyed bicycling, car racing, watching movies and was interested in real estate.
David is the nephew of Alfredo Vega and Anthony "Tony" Vega, who were jockeys in the horse racing scene at Monmouth Park and Racetrack. He is survived by his parents David and Fiordalicis (Vasquez) Vega, his wife Roas Sarai Cruz, his son Jael David Vega Cruz, his daughter Vianny Lynn Vega Cruz, his maternal grandmother Anadigna Vasquez and his parents-in-law Gilmer and Amparo Cruz.
Visiting will take place at Eternal Life Christian Center, 322 Franklin Blvd, Somerset, NJ 08873 on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 6-10pm. Graveside services will take place on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 10:30 am at the Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ.
