Carolyn N Dupre was born in Newark, NJ, and grew up in Fanwood, New Jersey. She was predeceased by her parents, Morris Feiler and Annette Feiler. She lived in close proximity to her aunts, uncles and cousins, and they grew up as a close-knit family, which she cherished. She was a graduate of Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School. She was the proprietor of a Pickwick Village Card store in Tano Mall when her children were young, loved getting to know and speak with all of their regular customers, and was gratified that it allowed her to be a dedicated and available mom to her children.
After her divorce, Carolyn returned to her secretarial roots to become an Executive Secretary with Exxon Research and Engineering, in Linden, Annandale, and later Baton Rouge, LA. Her amazingly fast shorthand, top notch organizational skills, and as the world moved to computers, her technical expertise, made her highly sought after by executives until the day she retired. While she missed NJ, living in Louisiana allowed her to finally live her dream of owning and riding horses, and she spoke about them with such passion and excitement.
However, she would tell you that the most prestigious and important role she had was doting on and spoiling her seven granddaughters, all born in the span of a three year period. While living in Louisiana, Carolyn and her then-husband Jerry purchased an RV to travel back and forth as often as possible--at least twice making the nearly 20 hour trip through the night for emergency babysitting duty! Eventually, she felt she was missing too much of their everyday lives, and moved back to NJ to be close to them. She dedicated herself to planning so many family events to bring everyone together, from holidays, sleepovers in matching beds, and pool party days, but no event was more eagerly awaited than the yearly trip to NYC for dinner and a Broadway show with all of the stops pulled out; limousines, gift bags, and personalized favors were all part of the deal year after year after year.
Her life only got better when she met her wonderful and dedicated partner Harry Findley. They enjoyed 10 years together, and intertwined their lives as seamlessly as if they had been together for a lifetime.
Carolyn's life is celebrated by her: partner, Harry Findley; sons, David Feiler and Jayson Dupre; daughter-in-law, Regina Feiler; brother, Jules Feiler; granddaughters, Olivia Dupre, Alyza Feiler, Marissa Feiler, Emily Dupre, Michaela Feiler, Sara Dupre and Rebecca Dupre; along with her beloved, Aunt Martha Fink, nieces, nephews and cousins.
