Carmen J. Santiago, 75, passed away at the Willow Creek Nursing and Rehab Center, Somerset, NJ on Monday, July 4, 2016. She was born and raised in Monte Grande, Puerto Rico, she came to the United States in 1957 settling in Manhattan and the Bronx, NY. In 1975, Carmen moved to New Brunswick, NJ, and resided there until her death.




In her early years, Carmen was a factory worker for Davalin Company for a few years. She was a homemaker, who loved her family and enjoyed the Holidays immensely.




Carmen enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and word searches, watching her favorite game shows, dancing and playing Dominos. She loved to travel to her home in Puerto Rico at least two times a year.




Carmen is predeceased by her parents, Agustin and Aracelia ( Montalvo) Santiago and her brother Carlos Santiago, and his survived by her loving daughters Evelyn Echevarria and her husband Roberto Caballero, Lizette and her husband Walter Bazan and Judith Santiago Soto and her husband Norberto., her cherished grandchildren Jan and Jessica Carrasquillo, Angelique Rodriguez, Maria C. Caballero, Annalyse E. Varlow and Antolin A. Bazan, her seven great grandchildren, her dear sisters Carmen Julia Santiago and Carmen Maria Miro and her brother Luis Santiago.




Visitation will take place at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ on Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm. Funeral Service will be during the eve3ning viewing hours. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick, NJ.
