Mrs. Barbara (James) Davila, 76, entered into eternal life peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. She was born and raised in New Brunswick and spent fourteen years living in Newark, NJ before returning to New Brunswick.
Barbara enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and puzzles. Her most favorite interest was playing BINGO. She traveled to South of the Border, Arizona, Atlantic City and Las Vegas, NV to play BINGO.
Barbara loved to listen to Country Music. She enjoyed listening to Smokey Robinson, Sam Cooke and many others.
Predeceased by her parents Everett and Penny (McDonald) James, all of her sixteen brothers and sisters, her daughter Ernestine James and her son Rafael Davila, Barbara leaves a legacy of family, her devoted husband of 60 years, Angel M. Davila, Sr., her loving children Virginia Martinez, Ange M.,Jr., Miguel, Everett, Raul, Carmen M. Dawson, Raymond, Lori A. Lugo, Violet L. Gray, Lorenzo, Roberto, Theo and Carolyn I. Davila, her cherished 71 grandchildren, her 107 great grandchildren and her 10 great great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will take place at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, on Monday, October 3, 2016 from 10 – 11 am. Funeral Service will begin at 11 am with Pastor Gregory Dawson officiating at the funeral home with interment to follow at Van Liew Cemetery, Georges Road, North Brunswick.
