Alvin David Berkin, 74, passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. He was born in Manhattan, New York and has lived in Highland Park for many years.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Alvin was an Industrial Arts Teacher for the Old Bridge Board of Education for many years, retiring in 2000.
He is predeceased by his parents Sidney and Dora (Newman) Berkin and his brother Melvin Berkin, survived by his wife Etta Marcia (Robins) Greenhouse, his children David Berkin and Dr. Jill Berkin, his grandchildren Miles Reed Rose and Jeremy Berkin and his brother Harvey Berkin.
Funeral Services were held on Friday, January 24, 2020 at the Highland Park Conservative Temple-Congregation Anshe Emeth with interment at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, New Brunswick, Nj.
