Aaron “Master AP” Purnell, Sr. was born on Wednesday, November 29,
1972 in New Brunswick, NJ to Christine Purnell and the late Curtis Moore. As a child, he attended St. Peter’s Elementary School and the Nyerere Education Institute for his middle school years. He went on to attend Burlington City High School, then returned to graduate from New Brunswick High School.
For most of his adult life, Aaron was a Certified Forklift Operator as well as an entrepreneur, owning and operating several of his own businesses. Upon his passing, Aaron was employed as a supervisor at Burlington Industries.
Aaron was an enthusiastic fisherman, a grill master, an avid sports fan and the ultimate Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved to travel and learn about new things . In his downtime, he would just relax and watch life’s happenings of his exotic fish tank. Aaron was a doting family man and just loved being with family. There were no in-laws, just family. Whatever the relationship, “brother” or “son” was attached. He was a “nephew-son” to the elders, a “brother-cous” to the younger generation and “nephew-brother” to his very close uncles. Forging an extended brotherhood, Aaron treated close friends as if they were family, as well. Aaron was an extraordinary model of a son, husband, father, brother, uncle and nephew. He was also the truest example of a friend.
Aaron is predeceased by his father, Curtis Moore; maternal grandparents, Marie and George Purnell, Jr., uncles Steven and George Purnell, III; cousins, Dyshon Thompson and Steven Marshall.
Among the many hearts that Aaron’s passing leaves broken are: his loving mother, Christine Purnell; doting wife, Quanica Purnell; sons, Aaron, Jr. and Zion; a daughter, Amira; brothers, Kenneth Purnell, Sr. (Deborah), Kevin Purnell, Sr., and Ramel Woods; a sister, Tonia Purnell-Respes (Chai); and host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
